Recently I headed South (without Rob) to the beautiful Kangaroo Valley in the NSW Southern Highlands for a weekend with my girls. A sneaky weekend escape to share some fresh air and red wines with some of my oldest friends. We rented a big old converted shed backing on to the Kangaroo River and celebrated an early Christmas in July. It was a joy to bake Christmas treats and make gifts without the commercialism or end of year craziness that often takes the buzz out of December. It was a refreshing break with my soul sisters.
