It has been a year since we said the big ‘I do’ and we returned to Peppers Beach Club and Spa in Palm Cove, where we were married, to celebrate the milestone.

Without the business of getting married, we were able to enjoy the place in a whole different way. The resort is a dreamy plantation style complex set in lush tropical gardens complete with a swim up bar. Tick, tick and tick! Located right across the road from the palm fringed beach, this place feels like heaven on earth.

The two days we had were over in an instant! Time flies when you’re enjoying buffet breakfasts, slathering the sunscreen and sipping freshly blended juice (with a few extra ingredients) at the swim up bar I suppose. We never wanted to leave! Sadly, like all good things, the must come to an end. We left Far North Queensland promising to return (again) and grateful for a wonderful first year of being Mr and Mrs S.
