My mum loved camping, but my dad always refused to come along saying “the only starts I’ll sleep under are 5 stars”. Well dad, tonight we are out here under our 5 million stars camped on the side of the road. We are a couple of hundred K’s west of Katherine and very close to the ‘Colibah’ station made famous from the TV show, ‘keeping up with the Jones’

When we climbed into our tent tonight and took a few moments to be still,  we both looked up and listened as it sounded although it was starting to rain. It wasn’t raining, what we could hear were all the bugs trying to get into our tent! The flies, mosquito’s and the rest of the flying bug cohort have been testing our patience! Regardless, sleeping out here under a blanket of 5 million stars seems so worth it.
